Taiwan has been Indiana's long-time economic partner. In fact, Indiana was the first state to establish a sister-state relationship with Taiwan and was also the first state to establish a trade office there. The Director of the Taiwan Office, Jeff T. Wang, promotes the interests of the State of Indiana and its citizens in Taiwan and the Greater Asian region. It has played an integral part in building and sustaining economic, educational, and political ties between Indiana and Taiwan.
